An Unforgettable Event

My first experience of setting up a computer is unforgettable. On that day, I was so thrilled that cannot sit still. I was waiting for the new computer that my dad bought for me. It's my dream computer! It has a big screen, a fast CPU and a high quality speaker. I can surf the net, play games, and even make movies with the computer.

"Ring! Ring! Ring!"  I heard the door bell rang. My heart was throbbing with excitement. A box printed with an ASUS logo got into my sight when I opened the door. I signed the package immediately. The courier then helped me to put the box inside the bedroom. I thanked him. Before long, I put my old computer into a box. It will be sent to a charity organisation soon. I opened the box with a penknife. After removing the styrofoam protector and the bubble wrap, the new CPU and the monitor were taken out. Then I found a small metal box which containing the speakers and cables. After 15 minutes of positioning  cables, I found a small packet containing the user manual. If I found the manual earlier, I would finish installing cables in one minute.

Once I pressed the power button, the computer made the familiar whirring sound. I installed the Windows system using my own bootable USB drive which was bought several years ago. Then, the computer booted up.  It was a 2015 system so I updated it. On the manual, it showed the product key, so I activated the system to make it usable. The entire installation took me one hour. When my dad was home, I told him that the computer was successfully set up and even the Windows has been installed. He hugged me and showered kisses on me for his brilliant surprise. My sense of accomplishment crept up to my head and drove my excitement through my veins. I was over the moon！

This experience is wonderful and unforgettable for me. I found that setting up a new computer is a piece of cake.
